Title:    Wireless/Mobile Internet Access: The AMICA approach

Wireless/Mobile Internet access is recently a very hot topic.  In fact
there are, however, different ways in which this notion is understood,
and even more different approaches for its provision.  In this talk a
specific understanding of the notion of wireless internet access, based
on availability of the socket services is advocated.  We argue that this
approach assures the best de-coupling of the protocols on the wireless
and wired segments, while keeping the end-to-end service semantics.  In
addition the issue of selective support of different data streams over
individual technologies will be addressed.  Finally selected issues in
mobility support over heterogeneous networks will be shortly discussed.
